I facilitated and documented AgriWebb's product principles workshop, distilling scattered, subjective debate into three principles that now anchor every design review, roadmap conversation, and new designer's onboarding.

Section 01 – The challenge
Eliminate friction
Subjective debates were slowing decisions. Remote teams struggled to align. Features felt bolted on and creative work lacked focus.
Guiding principles
We needed a north star – a small set of principles the whole product organisation could stand behind, point to, and design against.
Section 02 – The process

A cross-functional group of around twenty-five people – product, design, engineering, customer success – gathered on Zoom for two structured sessions. The goal: surface the language we already used about good work, then prioritise it together.
Between sessions I clustered hundreds of sticky notes in Miro, looking for the themes that kept reappearing. We then voted again, refined the wording, and tested each candidate principle against real product decisions to see whether it actually helped us choose.
Section 03 – The outcome
Three principles emerged. They were launched internally with posters, merch, and a short comms rollout – small, repeated reminders rather than a one-off announcement. They now anchor design reviews, roadmap conversations, and onboarding for new designers.
